The Galleries

wow there are three Rembrandt paintings tucked away at the National Gallery.

The most expensive of the lot is probably Two old men disputing

However, I have to go all the way to Amsterdam to see my favourites The Night Watch and Jan six. Bloke, i hope you had a look while you were there.

My favourite performance is without a doubt Explaining contemporary art to live eels @ the Australian Centre for contemporary art.

awesome.

guggenheim collection is amazing.

They also have one Mark rothko piece, no.37 (red)

I was going to buy a Mark Rothko ripoff but hes quite a looney.

The fact that people break down and cry when confronted with my pictures shows that I can communicate those basic human emotions.. the people who weep before my pictures are having the same religious experience I had when painting them. And if you say you are moved only by their color relationships then you miss the point.

i miss the point

oh look someone cracked a mark rothko joke.

Also, saw some Frank Gehry-esque furniture. this isn’t Ikea.

Photographs aren’t mine.

yea i visited the Rembrandt house. turns out that none of his paintings are there actually. just his etchings, pencil/charcoal studies prior to his actual work. now those are pretty darn impressive if you ask me. oh and you get a free tour of the house he worked and lived in
