A Polish Disaster

Someone tried to convince me that the world would end in 2012, citing numerous scientific sources and a soon to be released movie starring John Cusack. Said person works for the army, a vocation which, ironically, poses more of a threat to civilization than lost Mayan almanacs.

Anyway, the most credible threat seems to be Geomagnetic Reversal: Our poles switch and North becomes South. This, he said, would occur “instantaneuously” causing Earthquakes (presumably because the Earth would spin the other way) , Volcanic Eruptions (Magma would swim the other way) and Tsunamis (Poor fish).

I wondered if this would have any bearing on my toilet’s flush direction, but after brief investigation, happily, it seems like it will not.

Within 15 minutes, I realise my German is not up to scratch.  I was searching for the German word for train so I decided to try “BAHN” with furious forward hand gestures, careful to avoid anything that might be construed as a salute.

I think we walked 12 km this evening. Nice.

I can’t show you my DSLR photos yet. Heres some from the point and shoot.
