There is no point even trying to learn how to speak Czech. Ridiculous sentences like “Jak se jmenuješ” will only make you sound like Borat (Jagshemash!)
Prague castle looks amazing. Will be there at first light tomorrow.
I haven’t bought anything yet. I had hoped that these Eastern European types will throw up some great vintage stuff. I’m looking for beat up wingtips and hats.
Next Friday I’m off to Eastern Europe
Part of me wants to meticulously research each city and the other half just wants to get lost and fall off the grid for a while. In any case, my idea of a good holiday involves a punishing amount of walking.
I happen to believe that the best conversations happen while you’re walking. You can have a real heated debate while on the prowl. Just watch the West Wing or House. As an added bonus, if you can’t think of anything to say, at least things are going somewhere. The funniest bits of a night out invariably occur in between places: someone falls over drunk, gets left behind, the convoy is attacked etc
Am particularly excited about Berlin which, from what i hear, is very hip for exactly two reasons:
1. Space is cheap(er)
2. Everyone is unemployed and is living off their parents.
Can’t wait!
